Wow - I am NOT a technologically savvy person! I think this assignment took me way too long to finish...or it just seemed long. Anyhow, I chose to subscribe to the specific sites listed in my Google Reader because I felt they were most relevant to this course. The blogs are those from my fellow blog members...obviously insightful. Diigo was added for the same reasons. And then I added Clif's Notes because that's a useful tool for an english teacher. You never know when you'll need to pull up some information or questions on short notice about a specific topic. I chose for my social link to use Twitter because it is the most commonly used social link of professors I have had here at BYU. They all say they've found the site useful. I suppose that's about it!
Christina,
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Just a couple of things are missing. First, you need to subscribe to 4 new blogs (not your class members), one social network site (Twitter), and then our Diigo group. So you can't count Twitter and Diigo as part of the four. The idea is to find 4 new people outside of our class that you can find ideas from. This is pretty easy to do, thank goodness. Just log into your Google Reader and search for a topic (like "English teaching with technology" or whatever. You'll see several choices, so pick 4 that look good and click the subscribe buttons.
Hopefully that works out well! Email me when you've got those four, and tell me which ones they are and I'll update your grade. You don't have to do a new screen shot unless you want to.
hey christina, if you don't find the educational blogs on google reader, let me know. I found some good English teaching ones. My favorite is "Ask the English Teacher." There is also one that is through BYU that is good to subscribe to because it keeps you up to date on the local stuff. Let me know! :)
